Blogger Template: Photoblog II
The template image is captured from a 1024 pixels wide screen. This template has 3 'sidebar' columns below the post column. The theme is photoblog - the post column is wide without any other columns next to it. This style is especially great if you want to build a photo blog with lots of large photos and images. Click here to learn how to post large photos and images in your blog.
After reading the 'post large photo' instructions, I'd recommend that the width you use for this photoblog is 810px, ie, use the code below to post your large photos:

Header Image
The header image doesn't come with the template file. To put the header image in your blog, left-click on the image below and save the actual size into your computer. Then, upload the image into the Header Page Element in the Layout section of your blog.
If you want to use your own image for the header, the image has to be 940 pixels wide (with any height) to fit the header nicely. Click here for more helpful links on template installation guides and instructions.
Ads
This template was customized so that you can put ads in a lot of places. In addition to the usual sidebar, header, and main columns, you can place long leaderboard-size ads above and below the blog and above the footer. Check out these ads locations in this test blog.

I love this template! It's perfect for photography...just wondering though if anyone is having issues adding Archives? I added the archive widget under the post section (in the lower bar area) and all the months stack on top of each other. Any idea how to fix it?

mamique, we're thinking of putting new photoblog with the menubar on top in a couple of days.
If you want to put them yourself, you can learn all the tutorials because everything is there, but it'll be tricky on how to make it look good and blend nicely with the template...

i can NOT for the life of me get the picture in the header to be a "normal" size. i've tried changing the pixel size in photofiltre and all kinds of things and it's either HUGE or it's smaller, but only halfway across the screen. what do i need to do??

Okay, I still love the template but I just realized the little tool icons are visible to everyone, not just me. They are big and ugly, how do I remove them?

I figured out how to remove the unsighly wrench icons on my widgets that everyone could see. I'm posting the solution here in case anyone else experiences the same problem.
REMOVE SCREWDRIVER ICON (FOR EDITING WIDGETS)
First, back up your template. Then go to:
DASHBOARD ► LAYOUT ► EDIT HTML ► click on the EXPAND WIDGET TEMPLATES, and find the following line in the code section (use CTRL + F for searching):
b:include name='quickedit'
...you have to delete that line. Sometimes, you have to do it for every widget. For example, if you have 3 "screwdrivers", that means you have 3 widgets, and you have to delete a line for each..

When I tried to download a template, I am getting a message "cannot view XML in style sheet". Could somebody tell me why is this happening.
I've been using this template for my photo blog and I LOVE It. I have one big issue though!! When you click to the direct link of any given post, it doesn't give you the option to post or view past comments. Is there ANY way I could get this fixed? Many people view my posts with my Recent Posts widget and when they click on those they don't have the ability to add a comment. Please help!!
Hi, Im using your template for my new portfolio blog and the feedback is great. Thanks for doing it.
One query though: the "Recent Posts" widget isnt working, its not letting me put my feed details in, and the box that pops up to edit the feed is blank for some reason. As its blank I cant delete the widget either.

So how do you get the recent posts widget to work?
I had an issue with this template when using LiveWriter with Blogger. I wasn't able to center text or have spacing between paragraphs without physically going into the html portion and coding it.
LiveWriter troubleshooted for me and found out that I needed to delete part of the code.
If you have this issue, find this coding:
.post-body p {
/* Fix bug in IE5/Win with italics in posts */
margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
padding: 3px 0px 3px 0px;
display: inline; /* to fix floating-ads wrapping problem in IE */
height: 1%;
overflow: visible;
}
What you would need to delete in that coding is:
display: inline; /* to fix floating-ads wrapping problem in IE */
height: 1%;
overflow: visible;
Hope this helps anyone who is having issues with formatting when using LiveWriter with your blogger account.

Yes, you can customize the template. Just go to the fonts/colors section of blogger and you can change all of it there. Super easy to do!
Love the template but don't seem to have a 'posted by' entry box so at the bottom of my post it just has | 0 comments.....anybody know how I can add this in html?

How can I edit the text font and size in the header?
The photoblog are very wonderful,i really like the quality photos specially when the camera have too a higher pixels. i think the template image it must give a quality photo, that is what i looking for.This is similar when i buy generic viagra the result is a quality boyfriend.
