Menubar for easy navigation
Here's a sample of where a menubar, aka a linkbar, is located - just below the header - easy for navigation. The basic templates in Blogger don't have this menubar.
All of the templates designed here have been coded to have this linkbar. To add links in the linkbar, go to the Layout --> Page Elements tab and click the Linkbar Edit link (see the red line below). The rest is easy!

It's good, but sometimes when you puts the adsense links there, you may find it difficult to know the background color of your menubar, so to manually get the html color color code from any where on your monitor screen, you can use Instant Eyedropper.
read more on how to use it by How-To-Geek here http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/the-geek-blog/select-colors-from-anywhere-on-the-screen-with-instant-eyedropper/
I found it useful to share. :P
Looking for the firefox fix? Menu bar looks great in IE. However, very large in firefox...too much space between header border and menu border.
I love your Professional template, and the fact that I've been able to upload it successfully. I am not able to get the Menu Bar to move below the header - currently, the way it uploaded, the Menu Bar sits directly above the header, looking sort of odd. Can you help me please?
Thanks. If you need to look at it, you can find it at myedibleyard.blogspot.com.
Hi,
This link is not working in my blog. I used sunset template of yours. Please help. You can check the blog at http://mixedexpressions.blogspot.com
Re Firefox: The extra space is only there because you are signed into you blogger account while you are viewing the page (extra space holds edit element pencil icon). If you log out of blogger and reload your blog page, you will see it actually looks fine to visitors.
Is there a way to add images to this Menu Bar? Otherwise I have to remove it and add a menu bar from scrtach. There's plenty of tips for how to do that but I was hoping someone new an easy fix. Email in profile.
I am unable to move the link bar under the header. I am using the professional template. The link bar is on the right side of the template. How can I move it under the header?
Hi, I moved into Spain today, but although I can see the menubar, it's just a brown line across the page, under the banner. From the Blogger "page elements" settings screen, it is as if there is no menu bar, and I certainly can't adjust it anywhere that I can see. What am I doing wrong? Anything you can do to advise me would be very much appreciated. My blog is http://www.lettersfromtexas.com
If the firefox issue is still bugging you, try installing the stylish extension and the Toggle Edit Buttons user style. The User Styles site chokes sometimes so hit reload a few times if you don't get in right away.
These options together will toggle your BLogger edit buttons off so that you can see your blog how your users see it. Alternately, you can find the code for your edit buttons in that section and remove it from your template, entirely. I did that by reverse engineering the instructions in this post. SO find the Linkbar section and remove the code that refers to the quick edit icons. Took a little trial and error so back up your template first.
I have used the Spain template and love it. I am wondering if there is a way to create a page for one of the links on the menu bar, without it beind a new post? I am hoping to create new pages for the menu bar links that lists links to posts I have already written.
thanks in advance for your help!

Chita,
I describe a fix for moving the Menu Bar from above the Header to below on my own blog here:
http://diagnosisrodentia.blogspot.com/2009/01/professional-template-customizations.html
To sum up you need to move the code for the menubar (Linklist1) so that it is below the code for the header (header1).
Feel free to email me if you need help. mouse.thelabrat@gmail.com

(can you give me a pratical example?thanks)
Absolutely nice blog theme, easy customization even for beginner like me. The quality is as good as the paid version out there, and the only different is, you make it available to public for free.
the tutorial is great...tnx very much

I just downloaded the Beach template and the menu bar did not show up :( I'm sure I didn't accidentally delete it...could you tell me the HTML code to look for and I'll make sure it is there (and if it's not I will add it in)
Thanks!
When I moved into the Sweet 'n Simple template, my list of designers and links to websites was added to the linkbar? I really want this list in the sidebar area, but cannot drop and drag it from the linkbar spot. This list contains 30 designers and links to their blogs. I don't want to retype the list if possible. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?
