XML Blogger Template: Shiny
This free Blogger template can be either a 3- or 6-column template. If you want a 3-column template, simply don't fill in the lowerbar widgets and make its colors blend with the post column.
The right sidebar is 300 pixels wide, great for the placement of a large Adsense square box, or if you want to put large pictures like in the test blog below.
Features
- The "Read more..." function is available to shorten posts.
- Almost all colors and fonts are easy to customize.
- Blog Posts Edit buttons are fully functional.
- Flexible number of sidebars.
- Menubar below the header for easy navigation.
- Header image can be easily changed.
- Tested ok in all browsers using Browsershots.org.
Header Image
To put the header image in your blog, left-click on the image below and save the actual size into your computer. Then, upload the image using the Layout > Page Elements > Header Edit tab. If you want to use your own image for the header, the image width has to be 980 pixels (with any height).
Terms of Use
The template is free but please value our hours of design work by leaving the footer credit to Ourblogtemplates.com intact.

Thank you so much for your beautiful template! I had no problem installing it (and I am really technology challenged!). My only problem is adsense ads will no long run between my posts for some reason. I can run the ads anywhere else fine.

I love this template, but I'm having some trouble with the layout. For some reason, the linkbar height wants to expand to twice the size expected. I haven't been able to figure out why. Any thoughts?

Can you please let me know how can I move Sidebar#1 (the brighter one) to the right and Sidebar#2 (the darker and bigger one) to the left? I tried to play with the float direction, but I think I missinderstood the name of each SideBar.

I do have one question: Is there a way for me to put on the larger right sidebar a place for the 125 x 125 blocks for advertising space (I see them usually in blocks of 2's or 4's).

I use, since December 2008, this model. Today, I did download this updated version with read more, because the previous model did not. The problem is that there was error bx-si9ejx. What happened?
I love this template, but I don't think it works with Internet Explorer version 6. Many people visiting my blog use ie6 and I can't figure out how to fix it.
The right column is always displayed below everything else in the blog. I looked at Syn's blogs and all of hers has the same problem as mine:

I love this Shiny template. Before I download it, I would like to know if it is REALLY REALLY easy to use! I am not in any way a coding person and have never used CSS or any other programming.
Given my lack of knowledge, is this template going to require that I know coding, or is it truly easy like a WYSIWYG editor?

But...somehow my 2 sidebar gadgets are now at the bottom center under my posts!
They are in the right place in "Edit Layout" but not on actual blog.
Do I need to do something in "edit HTML"? Please help a non-tech person.

I have been using this template on my blog for several months with no problem but about a month ago my posts lost all of their formatting leaving things generally scrunched up and quite unattractive. I've dug through most of the code and can't seem to force a solution. It's almost as though the coding for the font and line height are no longer being accessed. I'm also seeing the items such as comments and date showing up in the wrong place when viewing the blog - correct in the layout but off in the browser. Anyone else having this problem or have any ideas about how it might be fixed?
I can't get the comments to show up in my blog. I'm using "Shiny" and it shows up that I have comments however I can not see ANY of them!
