How to put an Embedded Comment Form?

>> Browse templatesMoney tips92 comments

Here's what an Embedded Comment Form looks like below your posts and other comments.

If you don't have it in your blog yet but want to put it in your blog, follow these instructions:

1. Sign in to your blog from the Blogger web: http://www.blogger.com/.

2. Make sure you set the Enable Post Pages to 'Yes' in the Settings > Archiving tab.

3. Go to Settings > Comments tab for your blog. Look for the Comment Form Placement and click the Embedded below post button. Then save your settings.

4. Go to Layout > Edit HTML and click Expand Widget Templates.

5. Search for this line in the code:

<b:include data='post' name='comments'/>

and below that line add the following line:

<b:include data='post' name='comment-form'/>

6. Save your template and you're done.

If it doesn't work look at some more instructions here.

Hi thanks, I installed "selamathariraya" template to my new blogger. Everything is working fine. After installing the template I published a new post. But when clicking on the new post name in Archives, the page is coming but no post is showing. Old posts are working fine. Also the old post when republished, also giving the problem.

Please help me a.s.a.p

if the previous comments are missing, then u've probably REPLACED "b:include data='post' name='comments'/" into "b:include data='post' name='comment-form'/" instead of ADDING it.

for me, adding "b:include data='post' name='comment-form'/" is not necessary, it even doubled the form.
adding that code that the bloggerbuster has, works the trick.

I am having a problem with the comment form in that when I click the preview button it simply takes me to a blank screen. If I go back to the post and click submit that bit works OK but it then also displays the preview "window" below the now posted comment. I can get rid of it by clicking on the close button, but I think it will confuse a lot of people trying to use it.

Any ideas on how I can get it to work properly will be greatly appreciated.

Carl Minicucci, BBA CA September 16, 2009 10:13 AM

The Embedded Comment Form will NOT appear UNLESS you have set up the blogposts to include Comments.

In other words, go to your layout tab, then click Page Elements tab, go to the Blogposts box.

Click the Edit link, and on the Post Page Options, ensure you checkmark the 4th item (5 Comments).

NO ONE has noted this thus far and I've gone mad trying to figure it out.

Hope this helps everyone who's been pulling their hair out

I'm having trouble with the comment link not working! Or rather, no one can comment on my blog anymore. I've enabled embedded comment boxes below the posts, I've got Post Page enabled--the code that I'm supposed to replace isn't even showing up.

I'm using Newspaper II layout. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. :)
